Daniel is also a scholar athlete in the classroom and excelled on the football field as a running back. His brother is a pitcher for Valparaiso, who we play during the 2010 season.”
Walker has started the past three seasons for the Red Knights. Walker is a utility player but is often seen behind the plate or at third base. A three-sport athlete, Walker was has been selected all-state, first team all-area and he’s been selected to the all-conference team.
As a junior team captain, Walker set a school record with a .569 (33-58) batting average and eight home runs while tallying a 1.121 slugging percentage.
“Adam is a tremendous athlete that can play multiple positions,” said Montez. “He has an above average arm, is a good runner and can hit with tremendous power to all fields. Adam is a solid student and will compete right away as a freshman. He could also be a possible MLB Draft pick in June.”
