REEDSBURG - The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association has named Reedsburg football coach Brian Pottinger its Coach of the Year.

The award is co-sponsored by the Green Bay Packers, which named a coach of the week throughout the regular season.

The Packers will make a $2,000 donation to Reedsburg High School in recognition of Pottinger's honor.

Pottinger led the Reedsburg Beavers to a Division 3 state title at Camp Randall Stadium with a 34-27 win over West De Pere.

He will be presented with his award Dec. 27 at the Packers' home game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The WFCA All-State banquet is slated for Jan. 31 at the Lambeau Field Atrium.
