MILWAUKEE - High school students from across Wisconsin competed recently in the 9th Annual Lake Stugeon Bowl held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus.
Twenty-four teams, comprised of four or five students, competed in the event which focused on marine and freshwater science.
The day-long event features a round robin, double-elimination academic tournament that provides a forum for students who excel in math and science. Students receive national recognition for their diligence and talent while broadening their awareness and understanding of the oceans and Great Lakes
The winning team advances to the regional champions in the 13th Annual National Ocean Sciences Bowl, April 23-25 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Gold Division:
1st Place: Marshfield High School - Marshfield
2nd Place: Spring Valley High School- Spring Valley
3rd Place: Whitefish Bay High School - Whitefish Bay
4th Place: Stevens Point Area Senior High School - Stevens Point Sportsmanship: Luxemburg-Casco High School - Appleton
Silver Division:
1st Place: Advanced Learning and Academic Studies High School - Milwaukee
Sportsmanship: School of Urban Planning and Architecture High School - Milwaukee
Bronze Division:
1st Place: Marshfield High School B Team - Marshfield
Sportsmanship: Nathan Hale High School - West Allis
